Here is one more proof of the potential of the Turkish market for investors: 28 Turkish technology companies were listed in the Deloitte Technology Fast500 EMEA 2010! The results of Technology Fast500 EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) 2010 were announced in London on Nov 25, 2010. 28 Turkish technology companies were listed in the Technology Fast500 EMEA . Promer ranked No.12 with 4967 percent growth, Digital Planet ranked No.16 with 4515 percent growth and Sahibinden.com No.46 with 2394 percent growth. Old Spice doubled its sales with social recent media campaign

Last week, Visible Measures announced impressive stats about the very successful social media campaign of Old Spice. The Old Spice video had more viral video views in the first 24 hours than Obama´s Victory Speech video. Today, there is more phenomenal news on this Old Spice youtube campaign from Nielsen: Old Spice Body Wash doubled its sales in the last month. Global venture capitalists continue to discover the Turkish start ups year by year

The most recent move was from the Tiger Global Management which had formerly invested in mynet.com and yonja.com. It had just been public that Tiger Global had acquired 20% share of the new private shopping start up, trendyol.com, for 3 million USD. Markafoni, the largest competitor of trendyol.com, had secured almost 7 million USD from a group of foreign investors by the end of March, 2010. This group included Klaus Hommels that had successful investments in Facebook, Skype and Spotify. In July, another early stage investment came from BrainsToVentures to ecift.com, the Turkish matchmaking site with more than 500.000 members. Not to mention, beyazperde.com was acquired by the AlloCine Group, the 2nd largest entertainment info company in the world, in May 2010.
